At just around 49 square miles, San Francisco is comprised of 89 distinct neighborhoods each with its own local flavor that will you have you falling in love with this magical city by the bay.

The North Side

From Russian Hill, North Beach and Nob Hill to Pacific HeightsCow Hollow and Presidio Heights, you’ll find some of the oldest and most well-maintained Victorian and Edwardian-era mansions in the city. Fronting the iconic San Francisco Bay, these priceless views can span from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge with Alcatraz in between. Locals define these neighborhoods by their high-end boutiques, delectable farm-to-table dining options, and wine bar variations.

The Avenues

The Avenues made up of The Sunset and The Richmond, are chock-full of Marina Style homes and border the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco’s largest park - Golden Gate Park. With its beachy vibe, The Sunset offers a tight-knit community of small mom-and-pop shops, neighborhood restaurants, and artisanal coffee shops while The Richmond offers everything from Dim Sum to some of the best bookstores in the City.

Market

Market Street is the major thoroughfare that divides the City’s northern and southern neighborhoods with its historic cable cars running from the celebrated Ferry Building in the Financial District to the Castro where you’re greeted by the rainbow flags, extraordinary restaurants, and eccentric shops.

Upper Market

On one side of Upper Market, Duboce Park offers tree-lined streets full of masterfully built Victorians, while Hayes Valley is hip with its numerous boutiques, bars, restaurants and salons. And then there’s the centrality of old San Francisco with its proximity to the HaightCole ValleyAlamo Square, and NoPa. Meanwhile the other side of Upper Market brings you an eclectic mix of contemporary and Victorian architecture, where young parents with an encyclopedic knowledge of stroller brands spans from Noe Valley to Glen Park.

The Mission

Known for its artistic and hipster vibes, the Mission brings you Valencia Street where you’ll find the hottest bars and restaurants in the City. On nice sunny days, Dolores Park is filled with sunbathing singles and families soaking up the sun. And the new tech millionaires have found their mansions on Liberty Hill and Dolores Heights with their epic views.

SoMa

And finally, SoMa, also known as South of Market, is full of historic converted lofts and ultra-modern high rises with stunning views only experienced high up in the clouds. It’s newest neighborhood, Mission Bay, brings you within minutes of the ballpark and sensational views of the East Bay.
